When a newborn baby joins your family unit, the changes and transformations at home aren’t just centered on your spending habits, shared time with your partner, or meal times. One thing that visibly changes is the way you converse!
Specifically, since Hannah’s joined us, the both of us have digressed in our speaking habits. We baby talk to Hannah, and at times when we forget ourselves, we baby talk to each other too LOL.
Here’s a small sampling of the sort of things we say to Hannah. Ling goes like this during her feeding times:
“OK Hannah, time for your milk milk.”
“Was that a burp burp…?!”
When I wake her up every morning and play with her before heading to work:
“How are you feeling today, girl girl?”
“OK girl girl – sit sit your bum bum here!”
We’re repeating every other key word, and I wonder what that kind of conversation pattern that is! :)
