One of the most tricky things about tottering around a heavy DSLR is the sustained fear that you’ll accidentally drop the damn thing when trying to swing the camera out for a quick shot.
There’s the neck strap of course. The !@#! Nikon D300 neck strap is pretty thick, and I usually have it wrapped around my wrist when I swing the camera out for a shot. However, the strap typically gets into the way too and it’s pretty comical sometimes when I’m struggling with the strap just to put my eye into the viewfinder.:) Ok, so there’re affordable handstraps that you can buy and use. But that typically means you can’t have a neckstrap and you sort of only have one free hand at any time then.
So here’s an interesting device that sorta combines the best of both worlds. A strap that doesn’t irritate the neck or obstruct eye to viewfinder movement, and still looks secure enough to allow quick handling of the camera.

Only problem though is it’s crazily expensive.:(
cool strap! got compartment some more! actually that’s how i strap my canon when i shoot sometimes nei… over left shoulder under right arm pit… but a bit tight la. haha
I eventually ended up with the Optech strap, which I’ll blog about in a bit.:)
