Continued from the previous post, and covering grub from Day 10 onwards!
Day 10 very late lunch before we took the ferry to Nami Island. This we felt was way overpriced for what we had: the potato pancake and beef stew we ordered cost an additional 15,000 KRW each. Total damage was 84,000 KRW.Day 10 late dinner at Mom’s Touch Chicken and Pizza back in Hongdae Street. We opted for the single flavor – fried chicken.And also a large pepperoni pizza. Total damage with soda drinks was 39,000 KRW. It was a lot of food again!Day 11 brunch at The Hanok Cafe near Bukchon Hanok Village. This lovely restaurant was run by a middle-aged lady who spoke very good English. This I think cost 13,500 KRW.And the ice-cream waffle. This should be 10,000 KRW- I think!Day 11 dinner was at a small Korean restaurant near Cheonggyecheon Stream. This is the shrimp fried rice at 8,000 KRW.Dumpling soup at 8,000 KRW.And the pork cutlet set at 10,000 KRW.Day 13 very late lunch at a Korean restaurant near Tando port specialising in pork broth noodles. This was really yummy, and cost 10,000 KRW.Day 14 lunch at COEX Mall, and at the ever trustyworthy Saboten. The standard Rose Katsu set was 14,500 KRW, with the larger set at 16,000 KRW. There is no free flow rice unlike in Japan, though the cabbage item was refillable on request.Day 15 lunch at Hong Bar in Myeongdong. We opted for the unlimited BBQ at 19,800 KRWper person. Cost for kids age 8 to 10 is 11,000 KRW.Day 15 dinner at a Japanese restaurant in Seoul Station. Fare was so-so, and the tonkatsu set here was again already drenched in gravy. Cost was 13,000 KRW.Day 16 lunch at the basement foodcourt at The Hyundai Seoul. This is the Shrimp sandwich salad at 13,500 KRW. Comes with a small tub of Ben & Jerry’s ice-cream too.This was the hamburg steak with sausage. Can’t remember the cost, but it was likely around 14,500 KRW.Day 17 lunch at Yamsem Gimbap, shortly after we got to Unseo Station. This is a small Korean restaurant that offers a variety of local items, including a tray of Yumseaem, and Pork Cutlet Gimbap that cost 4,200 and 5,800 KRW respectively.Spam egg rice bowl at 8,500 KRW.BEef Bulgogi Rice Bowl, 9,800 KRW.Day 17 dinner at Youngman Pizza at Jung-gu, near Unseo Station. This one is a Super Supreme at 22,900 KRW. Super yummy!And a Pepperoni Pizza, also at 22,900 KRW.
