Many visitors who buy the Busan Visitor Pass remark that the price of the pass itself can easily be covered by just a small selection of the very large number of attractions that are included in the pass. Foremost in this shortlist of attractions are the Lotte World Adventure, and also Spa Land Centum city inclusions. Apparently, normal admission prices into these two places are fairly pricey, so having them included in the Visitor Pass for many tourists is a fabulous inclusion. We weren’t particularly interested in the Lotte World Adventure park – we’re not really thrill seekers – but the wife was particularly interested in the spa activity, so that was the centerpiece item for Day 04. The thing is: I’m not a spa person, so was not really looking forward to the experience!
From the spa’s signages, photo-taking and mobile phone use are technically not allowed in the spa premise. We initially strictly complied with that instruction and left our phones in our lockers. But quickly saw that everyone was bringing in their phones, so we followed suit too. We likewise also saw visitors discretely taking pictures of themselves in the more public areas like the relaxation lounges, mixed gender and public foot spa, and also restaurant, so we likewise also took a few pictures of our feet dipped into the hot water. Beyond that, sorry to say: we don’t have any other pictures of our visit.
Nonetheless: our notes!
The Busan Visitor Pass included a four hour stay in the spa, and there is a surcharge if you stay longer. If you’re not into the all-nekkid baths, I reckon you’d finish the exploring the area and just sampling the steam rooms in an hour.
At registration, you’d get a printed receipt with your locker assigned to you. There are different locker sections for men and women. The first locker you go to is the shoe locker area where you’d deposit your footwear, and take the key wristband. This same key will also open up the second locker in the adjacent rooms – men and female rooms are separate again – which are for bathing and washing-up, and also storing your clothes and personal items. Parents of children might want to hold onto their children’s key wristbands, as the wrist loop is almost adult size, and children can easily lose their bands.
After that, you can basically wander around the two floors of the spa complex. There are lounge areas, and even hammocks for you to take a nap. The restaurant on the has an instant ramen area: do note though – the ramen is not free, and costs 10,000 won that also includes a drink.
Our curiosity sated on what this much talked about spa is, we left at 4:15PM and made our way to our final stop for the day: the Busan Yacht Tour G. Continued on the next post!
