All of the places we visited after Gamcheon Culture Village were in the same general vicinity and easily walkable point to point. The route we took was Gukje Market, then BIFF Square, Jagalchi Fish Market, Gwangbokro Fashion Street, and finally LOTTE Departure Store Gwangbok. BIFF Square was just next to Gukje Market, and was pretty crowded by this mid-Sunday afternoon. The BIFF Square and Gwangbokro area were filled with street food, apparel shops, cafes: basically the kind of retail places that would interest Gen Y and Z crowds. The LOTTE Department Store is a short 5 minute walk from Gwangbokro, and has several dining establishments on the ground and 10th floors, a large Uniqlo store, and also a Samsung store that I checked out to see the kind of Samsung tech toys the Koreans get to buy that we don’t in Singapore. I got to check out the Samsung laptops in particular: these machines aren’t available in Singapore, and they really do look and feel like Macbook clones.
Pictures from our fairly directionless wandering around on the Sunday afternoon!
That’s a wrap for Day 02. We’d be running all around Busan again tomorrow making maximum use of the first day of our Busan Visitor pass, so more to come tomorrow!
