The Lunar New Year period this year in 2020 lands on the best possible date, weekday wise: eve on a FRI, and as both proceeding public holiday days are on weekday days, the country declares the following MON as another public holiday, and workplaces likewise routinely also provide the next day – TUES – also as an off day. The family home had some furniture arrangement in the second half of 2019, so the look of our annual family photos is a little different this year too. I decided on the FE 24-105mm f4 for the extended family photos and not the Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 as the former is unfailingly spot-on in landing correct focus points (the Tamron occasionally misses), and the FE 85mm f1.8 for the couple and groupie shots. Special care was placed for photos using the latter to ensure that depth of focus wasn’t going to be a problem, and the results turned out satisfactory, happily!
