Armed with the new Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 lens from the Yodabashi camera outlet near Hokkaido University, and also this time I was checking every couple minutes to make sure that the BlackRapid sling swivel was still firmly attached to the A73, we made our way amid snowfall to the Former Hokkaido Government Office – some eight minutes walk away. The building has its characteristic red brick exterior, and provided a gorgeous backdrop for pictures of the kids having their first experience playing in snowfall.
From the Government Office building, we continued onto the Sapporo Clock Tower, a still-working American-styled clock tower that was built in the 19th century. We didn’t go into the building’s inside museum (admission prices are a modest ¥200), so the pictures here are just from the exterior.
