I lugged the Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 lens all the way from Singapore to Japan just to take close-ups at Asahiyama Zoo, and the two hour visit – short as it was – netted a tidy number of keepers. We didn’t cover the entire area and skipped at least a third of the enclosures. The Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 was the only lens used in the pictures below, and its performance was about alright: though it had serious difficulties doing C-AF with fast moving animals.
