This picture-heavy post is for our Ang Mo bud!
Unlike the Melbourne, Western Australia and Phuket trips, we didn’t dine-in Villa this Bali trip, opting to eat out every day on account that Bali has no shortage of restaurants, albeit that each trip out of the villa would cost us SGD8 one-way. So, we tried as much as possible to time our dinners as the last activity in our day programmes.
Again, only because I’m in the habit of keeping meticulous records of our vacations these days; here are the places we ate at, and the overall cost – including taxes/charges, and very brief comments for each.
Pundi-Pundi Grill & Asian Cuisine (Day 1 lunch, Day 3 dinner) @ Ubud – IDR239K, IDR278K. Very popular restaurant situated beside a hotel. Decent fare.
Indus (Day 1 dinner) @ Ubud – IDR339K. Slightly more pricey place but with a magnificent outdoor view and you can spot trekkers at the Campuhan Ridge Walk.
Bedek Tepi Sawah Restaurant (Day 2 lunch) @ Kuta – IDR370K. Pricey place and apparently of the original crispy duck franchise from Tepi Sawah Villa.
The Pirates Bay Bali (Day 2 dinner) @ Nusa Dua – IDR343K. Meals with a view of Nusa Dua Beach.
Bali Strawberry Farm and Restaurant (Day 3 lunch) @ Bedugul – IDR227K. Very pretty mountain-top view of the Bedugul area with great pricing too.
Billy’s Terrace Cafe (Day 4 lunch) @ Jatiluwih – IDR282K. Panoramic views of the rice terraces, but so-so food.
Naughty Nuri’s Wayang and Grill (Day 4 dinner) @ Ubud – IDR368K. Street-side restaurant, crowded, but that whipped up delicious pork ribs. Relatively expensive.
Uno Ristorante Italiano (Day 5 dinner) @ Ubud – IDR305K. Ling loved the traditional oven-baked pizzas here with its thin yet super soft crusts!
Bali Zoo Restaurant (Day 6 lunch) @ Gianyar – IDR339K. So-so food, slightly marked-up prices.
Casa Ganesha Restaurant (Day 6 dinner) @ Ubud – IDR180K. We were the only patrons over dinner that night. The next night, there was also no one there LOL.
Mamma Mia Pizza & Pasta (Day 7 dinner) @ Ubud – IDR240K. Very popular oven-baked pizzas with a long queue during peak hours. Didn’t like the wait service though.
Kafe ARMA (Day 8 dinner) @ Ubud – IDR280K. Quiet dinning experience. Bonus: they had large TV screens displaying the World Cup 2018!

And the food of course! Just a small selection of pictures though:
