Our last day of the year with Hannah before the two of us head to Changi airport for our flight to Osaka!
We were going with a timeplan for the day; which involved a family brunch in the morning, lunch for Hannah at noon, her nap time, then bringing her to Lentor at mid-afternoon and settling her down, before the both of us head back the Rivervale at about dinner to pack, tidy up the house and heading to the airport late night.
Options for weekday brunch at Compass Point were limited, but we settled for Mos Burger. Yeah – strange choice considering that we’d be eating Japanese for the next 10 days shortly! Anyway, it was Hannah’s first visit to the Japanese fast food eatery, and she certainly enjoyed trying out one of the French Fries:
There was a couple sitting behind her that had a newborn baby too. Just about a fortnight, or maybe a month old from what I suspect.
Ling was remarking on our way home that after we’ve dropped Hannah off at Lentor later in the day and made sure that she’s properly settled in, we should be leaving without drama or giving any kind of indication to Hannah that her stay at Lentor this time is going to be a lot longer than usual. The funny thing is that I actually feel a little guilty that we’re leaving Hannah in Singapore while the two of us go about on holiday. Our little lass has come to mean so much to us that it feels weird for us to even be even separated from her for more than a day.
Well; at least we’re gonna try video conferencing. Assuming if Lentor grandparents can figure out how to use it! :)
Wow! A holiday without babe! I can only tell myself to “dream on”. Maybe another 10 years later. You are so lucky.
Yep it’s a rare opportunity. The next holiday though will be closer, and this time we’ll be bringing Hannah. Ling started missing our little girl already while we were just about to depart Singapore at Changi.:)
