Whenever we’re at Compass Point for dinner, it’s usually going to be one of the same old places unless the desire to splurge comes up. The mall has quite a few fastfood to midrange dining places and the ubiquitous Kopitiam. Unfortunately, the latter isn’t an option for us. It exudes an ambience that unsettles Ling ever since her pregnancy days.
Of all the four fastfood joints at the mall’s basement level – and that includes KFC, Mcdonald’s, Burger King and Yoshinoya – the latter serves up what seems to be, relatively, the healthiest food of the four. However, Ling remarked when we swung by the mall just now that she was getting a little tired of the Japanese fastfood eatery herself.
So, it was Burger King this time. And something unexpected happened while we were there! Series of pictures to tell the story. I’d just brought back a tray of adult food and taken out the E-PL1 to see if I could get a few pictures of our baby girl. The tray of food – including a pack of unhealthy fries – caught her attention immediately.
Without Mommy noticing, she reaches and grabs a fry!
And stashes it into her mouth before Mommy can stop her.:)
The both of us held our breadth to see if Hannah was going to…
a) Spit it out
b) Make a happy face
c) Cry!
She next chewed on the fry a bit, then started exploring its item:
She then takes a closer look at the fry, getting a feel for its texture…
And unexpectedly, breaks the fry into two…
… and wants to join it back now.:)
Decides that she wants to eat the smaller section of the broken fry…
Doesn’t know what to do with the other longer half!
She eventually finished the entire fry BTW – but we stopped her from having any more of the junk.:)
