Still Yet More of the Usual Weekend Pictures

New weekend and yet more opportunities to discover and record Hannah’s growing!

One challenge we faced before as new parents was entertaining our baby girl when the adults were having their meals. Getting her involved by feeding Hannah bits from what we’re having – she’s become impartial to McDonald hotcakes for instance, and on Friday evening even tried bits from the crust of a Pizza Hut pizza – has worked remarkably well.

Another that that works great with her is to let her play with a toy. There’s a tuppleware containing bit-sized snacks that we’ll pack into her bag when we’re out of home, and also Ling’s Imation thumbdrive. She has stopped using her tastebuds as her primary sensory organ too. We rarely see her putting things into her mouth anymore, so comparatively small items like the thumbdrive seem alright though we still keep a very close eye on her.

It’s just fun observing Hannah’s reaction when she wants one of those tuppleware snacks. She’ll wave the tuppleware at us, then use both her little hands to set it on the table in front of us. We’ll pop a snack treat out, and place it in her palms. She’ll then shovel the treat with both hands into her mouth, chew and break into a wide grin. We must remember to capture this reaction of hers soon on video – it’s just fun to watch.:)

Two more pictures: at Ang Mo Kio’s NTUC hypermart while I was wheeling around her looking for baby items (Ling was elsewhere getting fresh produce):

And at the Hougang Mall level 4 kopitiam wearing her dress that our insurance agent bought her:

She seems a little unsure about those new shoes of hers. She didn’t try to rip them off, but was curiously poking at them.:)

  1. Ya, they were really useful in keeping her little feet warm whenever we were in air-con places. :) THanks!
