Ling’s especially interested in the place I’m staying at. It’s a homestay Bed & Breakfast in a three storey house: two guestrooms on the top floor, with the family staying in the lower two. I was picked up by my MIT co-lead in the project, and while it was easy enough finding the street, finding the right house was more involved at 9 PM – it required a ground on the foot topo of the vicinity before we found the right place.:)
The place is situated in Cambridge, which is a city right next to Boston and home to MIT and Harvard University (we’re almost right next to Harvard in fact). Short drive of about 20 minutes from the airport too.
It’s a lovely house, and I was warmly received by the proprietor; got briefed by house security procedures, house rules, breakfast timings and the like. It was dead in the night by the time I settled in, so outdoor shots wouldn’t have turned out well at all though from the looks of it, it’ll look absolutely love in the day time.
Weather’s a little cool though in the evenings and early mornings, and certainly colder than I had expected. Need to buy either a pullover or a jacket now – summer here isn’t nearly like summer in Australia where it’s hot in the day, just as hot in the evening.
OK; pictures next for the wife to look at.:)
It looks very nice and cozy. The proprietors should use your photos on their website. :)
Haha.:)
