Toyota just unveiled their new hybrid luxury sedan called the ‘Sai’. The Hokkien in me bursts into laughter when I read about it on the papers. Would any self-respecting ‘towkay’ (boss in Hokkien) buy this car? ‘Sai’ in Hokkien means ‘sh*t’!
Do you want to:
– drive in your ‘sai’
– meet other ‘sai’s’ on the road
– langa (collide into) another ‘sai’
– wash your ‘sai’, and
– polish your ‘sai’ ?!
I can’t help laughing. :P Come on, how glorious is it to own a ‘sai’?

I own a Toyota MR-2 Spyder (MR-S in Singapore), and my mother drives a Toyota Camry; they’re good cars. However, most of the people around here believe Toyota makes nothing but Sai. : ) But c’mon, who wouldn’t want to step in their Sai and take it for a spin?
Mr Brown talked about it on his column. Hilarious. http://www.mrbrown.com/blog/2009/10/insing-column-mrbrown-and-the-sai.html
sit in your sai… LOL
if it’s cheap, i’ll drive it. =) any idea how much it’s selling for? can check for us?
It’s around 52k but will only be available in Japan in mid 2010. No news of it going for export. Fuel efficiency is superb; 23 km/litre.
I want a Sai! But, I hope they rename it before it’s exported, sigh!
Are you Lisa, Yang’s friend? :) Now got 2 Lisas. Hee hee.
