It was a matter of time before dust finally get into and settled on the sensor, especially now that I spend so much of my free time at home playing around with the D300 and the six lenses for it. Two especially big lumps of gook have got attached to the sensor like one of those baby Alien facehuggers from the movie series, and no amount of shaking + camera mounted on tripod facing down + air blower have been able to shake it loose. Sigh.
Lucky NSC does sensor cleaning for free under warranty terms – heng ar! Ling will be having Cross Country Day tomorrow, so she’ll be helping me visit Nikon Service Centre and get them to clean the sensor in the afternoon. Yep I’m very lucky she’s quite indulgent in this hobby.:)
In the mean time, a cute cartoon about sensor dust.:)
