Bogwood do make a lovely addition to any tank. So, a week ago we picked up two pieces of wood from Nature Aquarium at Balestier for $3 each. One’s horizontal, and is also the picture used in the banner for this blog:
The other is a vertial stump:
If you take a close look at this one, you’d see that the right side of the stump actually looks like a face:there are two distinct indentations for eyes, a pointed nose, a huge yawning moth, and ‘it’ looks like it’s wearing a crown too.:)
I had both of these two wood pieces soaked in rainwater for a week to leech out the tannic acids, and finally got to place them into the tank just now. Ling is interested in tying a bit of moss on one of the two wood pieces, so we’ll be looking for a bit of that soon.
